- Relax and enjoy yourself
However, taking a break is not as easy as it sounds.
You might feel guilty, anxious, or irresponsible for taking time off from your work or responsibilities.
You might also face some challenges or barriers that prevent you from taking a break, such as deadlines, expectations, or obligations.
That's why you need to plan and schedule your breaks effectively.
Here are some tips on how to do that:
- Set clear boundaries and communicate them to others. Let them know when you are available and when you are not. Don't let them interrupt or disturb you during your break time.
- Prioritize and delegate your tasks. Identify the most important and urgent tasks that you need to do and focus on them. Delegate or outsource the less important or non-essential tasks to others who can help you.
- Use technology wisely. Turn off or mute your notifications, emails, calls, or messages during your break time. Use apps or tools that can help you manage your time, tasks, or projects more efficiently.
- Be flexible and adaptable. Don't be too rigid or strict with your break schedule. Adjust it according to your needs, preferences, or circumstances. Be open to change and embrace new opportunities.
Now that you have planned and scheduled your breaks effectively, what are some activities that you can do during your break to relax and recharge?
Here are some suggestions:

Another tip that I use to deal with burnout is to watch motivational videos or uplifting shows.
Watching motivational videos or uplifting shows can help you cope with burnout because they can:
- Inspire you to pursue your goals and dreams
- Empower you to overcome your challenges and obstacles
- Educate you on how to improve yourself and your situation
- Encourage you to take action and make positive changes
- Entertain you and make you smile
There are many benefits of watching motivational videos or uplifting shows when you are facing burnout.

- They can boost your self-confidence and self-esteem
- They can increase your optimism and hope
- They can enhance your resilience and perseverance

Tip #3: Give 100% to whatever you are doing
The third tip that I use to deal with burnout is to give 100% to whatever I am doing.
Giving 100% to whatever I am doing means that I focus all my energy, attention, and effort on the task at hand.
I don't think about anything else or let anything distract me.
I immerse myself in the activity and enjoy the process.
Giving 100% to whatever I am doing can help me overcome burnout because it can:
- Improve my performance and productivity
- Increase my satisfaction and fulfillment
- Enhance my learning and growth
- Boost my creativity and innovation
- Strengthen my passion and purpose
However, giving 100% to whatever I am doing is not always easy or possible.
Sometimes I might face some challenges or obstacles that make it hard for me to give 100% to whatever I am doing.
Some of them are:
- Lack of motivation or interest
- Lack of clarity or direction
- Lack of resources or support
- Lack of feedback or recognition
- Lack of balance or harmony
That's why I need to deal with these challenges or obstacles effectively.
Here are some tips on how to do that:
- Find your why. Your why is your reason for doing what you do. It is your driving force that motivates you and inspires you. To find your why, ask yourself questions like: What do I want to achieve? How do I want to contribute? What do I want to learn? What do I enjoy? What do I value?
- Set SMART goals. SMART goals are goals that are Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-bound. They help you define what you want to accomplish, how you will measure your progress, how you will overcome your challenges, how you will align your actions with your vision, and when you will complete your tasks.
- Seek help or guidance. Sometimes you might need some help or guidance from others who can support you, advise you, or mentor you. You can seek help or guidance from people like: Your boss or manager, your colleagues or peers, your friends or family, your coach or mentor, your role model or idol.
- Celebrate your wins. Celebrating your wins means acknowledging and appreciating your achievements, no matter how big or small they are. It helps you boost your morale, confidence, and happiness. It also helps you reinforce your positive behaviors and habits. You can celebrate your wins by: Giving yourself a reward or treat, sharing your success with others, expressing gratitude for yourself and others.
- Maintain a healthy lifestyle. Maintaining a healthy lifestyle means taking care of your physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being. It helps you improve your energy levels, mood, and resilience. It also helps you prevent or reduce the risk of illnesses, injuries, or diseases. You can maintain a healthy lifestyle by: Eating a balanced and nutritious diet, drinking enough water, getting enough sleep and rest, exercising regularly, meditating or praying.
These are some tips on how to deal with the challenges or obstacles that might prevent you from giving 100% to whatever you are doing.
